today (Tuesday, April 27, 2004), from noon until 8:00 PM, its Ben & Jerry's free cone day at participating scoop shops worldwide.
when I went this afternoon, the line was not too bad and it did not take long at all. they are fairly well organized and have plenty of ice cream on hand, along with having a wide variety of flavors available.
in fact they had a couple of new flavors I never heard of. it was not easy to choose between the several older flavors listed, another tempting new flavor (i.e., Primary Berry Graham) and the new flavor I finally decided upon.
anyway, I ended up with a really good sized cone of Dublin Mudslide™: New in 2004! - Irish Cream Liqueur Ice Cream with Chocolate, Chocolate Cookies and a Coffee Fudge Swirl.
yummmm.
among the older flavors that were available at my local Ben & Jerry's scoop shop today, which is among my favorites, was Coffee Coffee BuzzBuzzBuzz®: Coffee ice cream with espresso bean fudge chunks. there were others of course, but I cannot recall them all.
